whirlwind wrap up - part 1

We just got back from another trip to Georgia...it's been a crazy and hectic but FUN two weeks!  I'm playing catch up with work now that I've kind of been MIA with the party planning.  But here are some pictures from our trips...

Athens Bound!

After a miserable week of hot weather and no AC at my office, I am so ready for the weekend!  We are heading to my favorite city tonight to help "shower" Brysky & Jess, the upcoming groomsky and bride.  Ah, I love Athens.

Check out the cute invites we had made up for the party!

This proof is a little blurry, but you get the idea!

I found them on Etsy.  Well, I found some similar ones that I really liked and then asked the seller if she could make some tweaks based on what I needed exactly.  Of course, she was more than willing and so easy to work with throughout the whole process.  This is why I love Etsy.  Everyone I've ever ordered from is so nice and accommodating.  I've never been disappointed in my finished product and their prices are so much better than what you'd pay for something so much less customized from a big retailer.  You should definitely check it out next time you need anything made - seriously you can find almost anything on there!

Also, if you're wondering (because this was a new one for me, too), the shower has a "Four Seasons" or "Around the Calendar" theme so everyone brings a gift for the season that they were assigned to on their invite.  It should be interesting and fun to see what everyone comes up with!

Ok, Athens here we come! Yay!!

P.S.  The invites were ordered from Ashley's Party Inspirations

Willa & Webster

Koozies from our wedding..still getting lots of action.

I love randomly getting these pictures from friends and family.  These two might top all of them, though...they came within 30 minutes of each other! Two in one day! Anyway, these random pictures always make me smile and feel like we're still apart of things, even though we're a couple of states away.  :)  Awhhh.

The other side says "W The Wedding"...hence the use of our "W" names (just a note for those who may not have been lucky enough to get one of these fine koozies).

KK's Bounty

Can you believe all this?  I'm looking
forward to stocking up when I'm
home in a couple of weeks!

Unfortunately, the sunflower crop has already
came and gone...I was really hoping to have
some free table decor for my upcoming
            class reunion. :(

God Bless America

I really think the 4th of July is my favorite "holiday"...it's just the best kind of day/weekend.

Cookouts, pool/beach/lake/river fun, fireworks, family, friends, sparklers....it's all just so AMERICAN.  And I love America.  You know that scene in the movie The Sandlot when they are playing baseball under the fireworks on the 4th of July?  Ah, that's American! I love that movie.  I always think about it on the 4th. Just in case you forgot, here's the clip from the movie: Sandlot.

I wish I had a picture to post of the Graham kids in their festive 4th of July attire back in the day.  We definitely had some planned outfits.  It's still a must, in my opinion, to wear the "team" colors on the 4th! Go Red, White and Blue!

This pic is from my latest obsession...Emersonmade.  It's what I wish my outfit was for this July 4th.  How much fun!  (BTW - any of you generous folks looking to shower me with gifts?  I would take ANYTHING from Emersonmade but they don't actually sell that vest.  Haha. It's just a "prop").  Did I mention I'm obsessed?  It's so nice to dream....since dreaming (not purchasing) is what you do when you are paying for lawyer school)

Unfortunately, It will just be the two of us celebrating our nation's b-day this year so I'm not going to make this (because then just the two of us will eat the whole thing!).  BUT someone needs to make this 4th of July cake!

Happy Birthday, America and Happy Celebrating to all you fellow Americans!
